We always take a trip through Bankhead at least once or twice a year if not more. You can swim in the summer. If the water is up, you can canoe or kayak. Thompson's creek is a great place to hang out with the kids. Kinlock Falls are awesome during the summer to slide down. There is an Indian shelter... More

We saw the National Forest was near our route and aimed for it. There are a few pull offs and an old church we explored. We were going to stop at the picnic area to stretch our legs but it was across a bridge and it was a few area. Ok if we were going to stay awhile. A beautiful... More

We had been to this campground several times before this just this yr. We had noticed the camp host Deb was not super good at her position but we overlooked her. I've... More

When visiting this area be sure to also visit the Sipsey Wilderness here as well. These forests are beautiful with hiking trails, waterfalls and some are even wheelchair accessible. I live near here and visit often.

We camped in the Corinth campground in Bankhead National Forest. The site was beautiful. Clean, wonderful paved sites on which to park our camper. It was quiet and there were spaces between the campsites which is always a plus. We saw a deer near our camper which was such a pleasure. Did not use the bathhouse but it looked nice... More

This is a fantastic National Forest campground with full hookups. We only paid $20 per night for full hookups. The restroom and shower facilities were clean.

We stayed for two nights in clear creek campground which was beautiful and perfectly maintained for $26/night lakeside tent camping. It's about 45 min from the ranger station in Double Springs which is a MUST for figuring out where you're headed--don't try to figure it out through the Internet alone, we tried and failed and should have just made time...
