Supposedly this is the oldest bank building in Alabama. It is a very classic looking building which has been restored and maintained well. It sits right at the head of bank street (named after it) and overlooks where the civil war battle was fought.

Oldest bank in US, the gentleman who conducts the tours is very knowledgable and courteous. The epedimy of a Southern Gentleman. Great tour!

you could spend hours taking scenic portraits and pictures here.Old bank building no longer functioning, built in the 18oo's. I n the area of a quaint, charming town.

I had an opportunity to go on a tour in November of 2014. I had no idea of the history this building held. The tour was very informative. Thanks to the visitors Society in Decatur for the opportunity.

My daughter had a photo shoot there and it was an awesome experience. The scenery there is amazing. It was clean, in a great location and very private.
