Beautiful beach but what a walk to get there! It was exhausting carrying a 17 month old. Kids had a good time. Not many people on the beaches at that time. Park area was nice and clean.

The beach is nice and the sand is beautiful but the walk is rough. There are two different public access areas. This one is $5 to park or $2 to walk in. On further down it’s $3 to park and $3 for every person over...More

Long walk to the beach but a nice park. Clean restrooms. Great parking. Family friendly with a playground and handicap facilities.

I have mixed feelings about the beach . The beach is nice . It’s definitely a great place for families with young and older kids. On the down side ..One of my kids stepped on a broken beer bottle and cut herself , I also...More

This would have been 5 stars if the walk wouldn't have been so far. It's $5.00 to park, but we never made it to the beach, only to the end of the pier. Our bags and coolers would have been too much to carry across...More

Lovely space to watch the sunrise and set. The water was a little murky for us Aussies but a lovely beach none the less.

The beach is nice and clean, and it WOULD be a great place to visit if it weren't for the ticket obsessed "cops" that wait for the streets to fill up, then go give everyone tickets. There is no sign for THREE MILES to state...More

This is a beach that reminds me of years gone by, with many happy childhood memories. It is what I would call the "Old Florida" beach, before everything got so crowded with high rise condo's, and restaurants. You can walk on the sand, collect seashells...More

Yes. Usually right after a storm, or heavy rains is your best chance to get the nice ones. Sand dollars, starfish, hermit crab to name a few. West end of beach is best for shelling. They also have a lifeguard on duty.

I don't remember a shower. A public restroom is only on one beach. Portable toilet at others

We had a family reunion last 2 weeks of June at 4 houses along Bienville with about 50 or so folks and no one had a problem. Ages were 3 to 85.
