The sunrise is really nice at this point of beach. However, there are oil rigs and such on the horizon that detracts a bit. Nonetheless, the beach/sand is awesome and it's worth a visit!

We visited all the public beaches on Dauphin Island recently. All of them were great: beautiful and uncrowded. West End beach was our favorite, the water was shallow for such a long distance, the waves were great, this was the best place to find shells,...More

Nice beaches, it did cost 9$ to park, but it did have bathrooms and chair/ umbrella rentals! We brought ice chest and food and blankets! Relaxed all day before we showered off and changed clothes near by!

Love the laid back feel of this little town. Almost no one on the beach and beautiful weather and sunsets every day. If you like a small town feel this Island is for you.

We drive there straight. The entrance is 3$ from the car and 3$ from each person. They have wc, showers, sun umbrellas. It's not so busy, romantic. White sand beach.7 miles walking distance

We had a family reunion last 2 weeks of June at 4 houses along Bienville with about 50 or so folks and no one had a problem. Ages were 3 to 85.
