This beautiful and historic tree is wonderfully protected and taken care of and is worth a visit both from the aspect of it's historic association with Jackson and from a naturalist's standpoint as it is truly a majestic specimen. I agree with others that signage...More

Some signage needs repair. It is kept pretty clean. A few interesting sights. A good stop for kids and pets (on leash only)

You will walk on the board walk and through some trails. It will probably be an hour or two if you hang out at the beach area to enjoy. You can go to the beach area for the sunset which is beautiful.

You can walk down long road/pathway to boardwalks along the bay - there is a pier and sandy shore line - you can walk to another park too!

A well maintained park on Mobile Bay. Such a neat place to just walk and unwind. Highly recommend. Easy to hike with raised, wooden walkways, but also well marked trails through some of the old growth woodlands.

This place is great for a nice afternoon stroll through natural woods. Good trails and full of historical sites. Trail leads to a secluded fishing pier and a beach.
