Nice beautiful place. Avoid in weekends, becomes crowdy and noisy. Prefer morning or evening hours. Visit belur muth after visiting this temple, try boat ride.

Since its a religious place many people don't like to visit. Its worth visiting. Right on the bank of river the temple have different arcitacture than general hindu temples.

You can visit a day earlier and try talking to temple authorities. Try to avoid the local guides (also called pandas) in this kind of discussion, unless you go to with some recommendation
