Great views from the ropeway

A leisurely ride above many of Darjeeling's tea gardens offers spectacular views and takes about half an hour for the top to the bottom and back .

A short ride which gives some amazing views of a few tea estates. There is a mandatory stop at the end of the first leg of the ride, where there are a few small stalls selling refreshments. Overall an Okay ride, but not really worth the time it takes up. It takes about 2-3 hours for the whole trip and... More

The ropeway is old ..Takes an entire day and tiresome waiting in the line ..worst expereince ..May be good for people for whom ropeway is a first time expereince to wait in the line for the whole day ..but for me it was painful.

The view from the car is amzing. If you love the hills and the tea gardens you would love the ride. You can take a stroll in the garden situated at the other end of the ropeway before returing to Darjeeling. There may be lot of rush during the high tourist season.

It gives good view of the area nearby, where buildings are not built, but nothing special. If you never been in a ropeway, you can go for it or just ignore it. There was a power failure when we were in it, stuck for few minutes.

Must do. It offers great views of the valley and tea plantation and also the views of Kanchendzonga Range.

Nothing special that's it. You take rope way it will take you down over tea. Gardons you can choose to either stay there for a while then come back up or go back up immediately. No doubt it gives great view of tea gardens and forests.

A little scary in the beginning given the height off the ground coupled with the jerky start but one settles in quite well in a few seconds. The views are amazing. Below are the vast tea gardens on the hills and directly ahead is the view of the complete range of Khangchendzonga. This is a MUST visit.
