This place is surely worth a visit... but only if one is spending more than 3 days in Darjeeling. I suggest one walks down to it... its a pleasant walk from Mall Road and will take you through the local market. The place is almost deserted but a giant park with beautiful gardens. Nice place to click pictures and simple... More

Have visited this garden numerous times, and everytime you discover something new. Its a very peaceful place to be. YOu can endlessly watch people and children just walking leisurely or you can spend hours looking at trees and trying to get their scientific names (posted on them) :P. You can also drool over the flowers in the greenhouse. Theres a... More

Very poor maintenance makes this place avoidable for the tourists. Its near the main market but you need to walk up and down a steep slope to reach. Nothing special.

It is not actually recommended by me for you to visit here if you visit the padmaja naidu zoo. It is a great place to stroll around.

On two of our previous visits to Darj we'd intended to track down the botanical gardens and not been able to work out how to get there. This time we asked a taxi driver and he dropped us at the lower market from where we asked everybody that we saw how to get there. The route we took was smelly... More

We visited during monsoon in August and were very disappointed. Maybe it was the time of year but there was nothing of significance to see. There were a lot of trees with labels but we saw no flowers in bloom and the orchid house was just a sea of green. The place is more like a park rather than a... More

A vast range of flora and fauna of the Himalayan region. I have visited this place every time I have been to Darjeeling. For those with knee problems it can be a bit stiff.

Botanical Garden of Darjeeling does not actually feature in the list of "must see" for the tourists who come to this hill station. Still, I personally feel that those who love flora should go and visit this place. It is not actually a huge are, so can easily be covered on foot and should not take more than an hour... More
