The Neora Valley is unique and of great ecological value since the endangered Red Panda can be found here. Due to the inaccessible and difficult terrain, the forest is still very less explored. A nice place for bird lovers.

Enjoy the beauty of higher West Bengal and Trekkers delight, contact Wildosphereadventures for more details on the Adventure activities . It's a beautiful trek for 6hr where you will enjoy the nature In its all glory. The drive up to the park entry is useless, better walk up.

We were staying at Rishop, Darjeeling district. Me and my 2 friends have tried to hire a car from the local syndicate, somehow they managed and gave us a Bolero, at 10:00 am morning. We started our journey towards the Neora valley National park through Lava. First we took our permission from the forest officer to enter the park, then... More

The nearest hub to transfer at Neora Valley is Lava. Kolakham is the village where you have good stay and basic good food. Now its what you get? What do you want? Kanchenjunga Range? Flowers? Birds? Butterflies? Simplicity of the hilly people specially there smile? Complete Serenity? Red Panda( Luck by chance) ? Yes you get every piece of it.... More

stayed 2 nights in this area in properties owned/managed/marketed by the west bengal tourist authority and it was so beautiful, peaceful and unspoilt - lava particularly was very cool. Only issue was the interpretation centre was closed and it looked pretty permanent .....

I was eager to visit my next destination which was Kolakham, Neora Valley, Lava, Lolegoan, Kalimpong Deelo and it was an amazing trip with my gang. We arrived NJP on 09 May 2015 and the cabs arrived at the station. It was long journey around 4.5 - 5 hours from NJP to the Kolakham which is a remote village between... More

We have been there on March 2014, time of Holi. We reached there by 2pm (a bit late). After that we start trekking on forest trails. We've been there for 2-3 hours. And, that's an experience I'll (may be) never forget. - Chirping of birds, - walking on uneven trails of the forest, - searching birds here and there, -... More

Got the passes from Forest dept. office in Lava, and set out. However, the road was terrible. Its a boulder road, and uneven ...so very jerky ride, for 1 hr. Finally you reach the Forest entry pt, where there's a guide to take you on a forest trek. The trek was enjoyable, but couldn't see any birds, maybe there will... More
