Situated near Ghoom railway station, Yiga Choeling Monastery or the Ghoom Monastery. There is big statue of Lord Buddha. It's a Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Darjeeling

This place has a nice peaceful feel to it. I had never been to a monastery before so this experience was special for me and my family. It's not a well maintained place but the temple has a divine feel to it.

You have to take the site seeing tours to visit this. It is very near to the main town. Inside of the monastery is full of grandeur.

Nice ambience as usual like any monastery, toy-trains passing-by can give you pleasant surprise alongwith noise & smoke, small hawkers sell items at fair price at per the darjeeling mall, a dirty tea-snacks corner inside.

A Buddhist monastery linked to an old saint. You feel rejuvenated when you enter and pray. The place lacks basic amenities like toilet etc.
