This temple is beautiful and well worth the visit. It is smaller than expected (not in a bad way) so you don't need to set aside heaps of time to check it out.

Monastery With a monk beating a drum and chanting, your participation most welcome. The pagoda towering above is decorated with statues of Lord Buddha and carvings depicting his travels. Worth the visit - despite the inadequate directions

This is one of the seven point and located next to Japanese temple. The place was not very crowded and you can have a great view on a clear sunny day.

Japanese Peace Pagoda is within 30 minits by car from clock tower. In Darjeeling most (city) locations are within 4-5 km range but they take some time in negotiating the contours and curvy roads.
