If you want to see an animal prison then head to this place. Enclosures so small the poor animals can't even stretch. Avoid

You get to see animals which cannot be found in zoos at lower altitudes. There is a good deal of greenery on offer also. A visit to this zoo is what one looks forward to the most when planning a trip to Darjeeling.

Awesome zoo... Lot of animals which we normally do not see in zoo's. Also environment given to animals in zoo's is quite near to natural habitat. I can see black Panther, snow leopard, cloud leopard, royal Bengal tiger and red panda...and many more

highlight was the snow leopard and cloud leopard all kind of animals were there, hmi museum is inside the zoo and ticket includes both both are awesome experiences

It is about 15 mins from city centre, part of city only, and will take minimum 1 hour (just round) to 3 hours (detailed tour) to see all enclosures.
