Suntalekhola is a tourist spot in the Darjeeling District of West Bengal. The altitude of the place is about 650 to 950 m. It gets it name from a small stream: Suntaley Khola. In Nepali, Suntaley means orange and khola means stream. There are WBFDC cottages for the tourists to stay. Several trek routes originate from Suntalekhola, most of which... More

The cottages are located in absolute peaceful and beautiful location amidst jungle, hills and rivulets. The highlight of this place is the hanging bridge across the waterfalls. Once you enter the property, it is an absolute visual delight with so many varieties of flowers and plants. Absolute bliss for one day !!! Negative : (-) Cottages need maintenance. Our cottage... This place is at the end of a long and winding road amidst not so dense forest and can be reached after crossing a s small stream of cool fresh water via a cable bridge. The place is surrounded by hills and since we went during the monsoons they were all covered with clouds giving a very romantic touch to... More

If you are a nature lover, welcome to nature resorts.. You will be truly immersed in its lush green beauty, but when it comes to maintenance, not quite good. No ceiling FAN in rooms and canteen.. 1 pedestal in each room.so better not choose this destination in summer.2 single cots with 2 single mosquito nets in each room.. So its... More

Not so far from Samsing, Suntalekhola is located at a picturesque location, is ideal for a weekend break. The guesthouse from forest dept offers best location.

My first suggestion is to remove your “luxury tourist” hat before stepping into the Forest Rest house – yes, although it is called a “Nature Resort”, this is no more than a Forest Rest House. Located in the deepest lap of Suntalaykhola – a mountainous stream or rivulet, you’ll find yourself surrounded by hills and gulped by deep thickets of... More

This is another hidden gem at Doors. Some may say it's just a stream passing by but the place is very beautiful for those who love nature and love to be in a serene place away from the crowd. You can just spend hours sitting by the stream or even follow the stream for some distance (one has to be... More

Suntaleykhola is a small village which is about 40 minutes drive from Chalsa via Metli and Samsing. The cottages of WBFDC is about 1 km ahead of the small village. Unless you stay in the cottage for a night or two you wont't enjoy. The place is recommended for nature lovers who loves to stay in peace. The cottages are... More

Visited in the mid of monsoon. Really enjoyed the rain. Before visiting Suntalekhola didn't enjoy rain so much. the only problem we felt was of insects and leech. The awesome hanging bridge, the brook, forest patches of cloud and hide and seek of Sun and cloud.... heavenly feeling
