Beautiful architecture and wall painting make every palace of jaipur a must visit but there is a lack of maintainance and overly priced entry tickets for indian visitors.

A must visit. You can miss the others if you visit this place. You could spend two days in this place, as there is so much to see. If you can get a good tourist guide, I would advise this so that they can explain everything. There is a coffee shop, very good rest room facilities that you need to... More

These are places you have to visit while in this area. The workmanship of caving painting and inlay work is beautiful. They are all very similar if you have limited time I would still visit here.

We paid Rs2500 each for the entry to the royal palace section, which covers 7 floors. There are some very nice rooms, including the honeymoon suite where the multitude of tiny mirrors on the ceiling are little by candle light and look like stars twinkling in the night sky. The Divali room is also impressive with coloured stones set in... More

The city palace does two types of tour. The one we chose cost 2500 rupees, which is expensive, but took us into the private areas of the palace with a very good guide Sajjan Singh Rathore, who, as an historic, was able to regale us with interesting facts about the palace and the history of the kings who lived and... We had our own guide for this palace as it was done as part of a longer city tour. There's lots to see here and some of the detail in the architecture is amazing. It was extremely busy, but we were still able to see all the points of interest. It's really interesting to see all the paintings of the... More

Jaipur's City Palace is mostly open to the public except for the main building (the tallest in the complex) which is the official home of the royal family. The buildings and exhibitions are all stunning.

Excellent place, well maintained, worth visiting. This Monument is really kept me thinking how rich was the culture on those days, far better tan today.

i arrived in Literary festival week and they also put on staff guided tours for free. so I avoided the hard sell guides outside, paid my R500 and enjoyed the best 2 hour tour by a wonderfully informed outreach staff member who had studied history and added so much value. Its a must go and see, made brillant by the... More
