A nice place to view from outside as general public is not allowed inside. Looks beautiful in late evenings under lights.

This is a grand property and the area really comes alive when it is in session with additional security wrapped around it.

Mantralaya is located at Nariman Point and is a good looking structure from the outside. It is the Administrative building for the government. In my school days this was known as Sachivalaya. To enter one has to get a gate pass using your identification. There is nothing touristy about it. In side it is a building with long corridors and... More

This is an administrative building for Maharashtra State government. Recently it has been renovated after fire breakout. Government of State functions from here.

The official secretariat of Mumbai where all the Government Offices function is beautifully laid out. To enter one must provide the original photo id to the counter outside - this is scanned & verified and if the purpose of your visit is valid, you are issued a pass to enter. Once inside, there are separate buildings with long corridors containing... More

The Mantralaya was formerly known as the Sachivalaya or Secretariat. The architecture which was modern when it was first constructed in the neighbourhood of art deco buildings cannot be considered exceptional now. Nothing here for a tourist.
