A really pretty monument. We were asked if we wanted picture but weren't pestered when we said no. One of the more interesting places to visit in Mumbai.

Gateway is one of the iconic monument of mumbai, and a must visit place. Hotel Taj is also in front of the monument. Colaba Causeway is also nearby.

One of the several nice public spaces in the southern part of the city to spend an evening in. The photographers and crowds can be a bit much sometimes.

The lights of this beautiful monument at night enhance the dignity of the historical Taj Palace Hotel near it. Clearly an icon worth a quick visit, which is all it takes.

This is the Gateway of India. The monument was erected to commemorate the landing of King George V and Queen Mary at Apollo Bunder on their visit to India in 1911. It is India's most valued structure. Very impressive, and right on the water.

Gateway of India is the must attraction in Mumbai. The Taj Palace Hotel is also loacted nearby. You can sit and enjoy the sea here with street food.

Getting up and close is controlled by very high security and the surrounding parts of this attraction looks like a military zone. Too bad, the splendor of this marvel is restricted and obstructed. Perhaps, a more tourist friendly approach could be adopted while still keeping...More
