The northern part of this area is amazing. Wide streets, beautiful buildings, huge fields with people playing cricket... However, once you get south of the Gateway of India and the Taj Mahal Hotel next to it, I didn't see a single unmissable sight. Once you...More

The character and the ambience have long disappeared. There are touts all over the place for everything. There are seedy hotels and cafes in the side streets. Avoid buying anything here. You will be ripped off, specially if you are a firang.

Went to this place for some shopping but was surprised to find that there was no shortage of other things to do and see. Art galleries, historic monuments and bazars kept us glued. Just roam around in Colaba for some great fun.

Any time of the day the place is bustling with activity. You can bargain to unreasonably cheap prices and not be rebuked for it. Mumbaikars are a good tolerant people.

The Sassoon Docks, St Thomas Cathedral, the Afghan Church and the shopping experience - not to mention the food and snacks that are unique to Mumbai - it was an amazing experience of diversity!

You should ask your hotel, I didn’t shop much, I found I can get a better deal in USA. Everything was poor quality and tailoring, they want to charge a lot for junk. Good luck. We purchased items to find out later it was all... More

While there are a few shops adjacent to regal theatre, my suggestion would be to buy “tailor made” leather jackets from Dharavi! This is the best option if you are really keen, want value for money(of course these are not... More
