The art work displayed in this museum is simply breathtaking. Most of the paintings are 19th century art either commissioned by the Wodeyars or a part of their private collection. My personal favourites are from Raja Ravi Varma's gallery and the paintings of the wildlife of Mysore. A special mention to the delicate and beautiful Japanese paintings that badly need... More

I was at awe stuck by the beauty of the "Yellowish" building that was in front of me....I think that Jayachamarajendra Art Gallery Its a 'dying' Palace kept alive by the dedicated and soul driver art work

I think that Jayachamarajendra Art Gallery Its a 'dying' Palace kept alive by the dedicated and soul driver art work and paintings of a by-gone era. When I entered the premise of the palace I was at awe stuck by the beauty of the "Yellowish" building that was in front of me.....but as I slowly started going towards the palace, the marks of the posters on the main door left me saddened at the condition of the door....then as we entered inside the palace post submitting... The name it self sayd Jagan Mohana means amazing art in of world class and attracts through its name. All the visitiors to Mysore palace should visit to here and should get the nice view and art available in the CITY

The place is very nice for art lovers. I have been there many times n it doesn't bore. The architecture is nice but the building too old n not well maintained

Good collection of art works and paintings done by yesteryear's highly popular Artists like Ravi Verman. Art gallery gives good glimpse of history, culture, heritage and value of local region. Building needs maintenance though.

Lovely pieces of art but the building is falling down. When you walk in there is a huge chunk of roof that has fallen in.
