The spices in this shop were reportedly used in the Master Chef kitchens. The staff will tell you all about the spices and teas, including what countries you can bring them back through customs. A little hard to find in Chandni Chowk, Old Delhi, so recommend you get a rickshaw ride there to save you hours of roaming around back... More

We were taken to this Spice shop by our guide, in hindsight he must have been on a commission from them. Their prices are ridiculous and are 4-5 times more expensive than I pay in Indian Supermarkets in the UK. All of the spices we were shown were pre-packed and pre-mixed, not much different to average UK supermarket. Dis buy... More

We stopped at this charming spice shop on our rickshaw ride a year ago. I bought many spices, which I have totally loved using. I bought tea, cinnamon, ginger, cumin, and spices for butter chicken masala and chicken tikka. They were very helpful - I bought much more than I intended but now that I am back home I wish... More

The staff at Mehar Chand and Sons make the shop what it is today. In Delhi, where there are an abundance of wholesale spice shops next to each other, service and quality are the deciding factors to compare all of them. Mehar Chand and Sons has air conditioning and a very knowledgeable staff (Their english is impeccable). I would recommend... More

We visited this store during our rickshaw ride in the older part of Delhi. They said it was a Spice Street. We went into the store and it was very crowded with N.American tourists. A customer sales person very politely approached us and asked if we required help. He explained the shop had been there many years and that chefs... More

Great little shop to visit in the spice market. Very friendly, trip advisor plaque properly displayed. Once we saw the plaque we knew there spices were the real deal. We had been warned to be careful not to get ripped off. Samples were offered for tasting. The spices are sealed in bags then all bags were sealed into one so... More

My tour guide in New Delhi brought us to this place because we wanted to buy some Indian tea and we were not disappointed. The owner is very knowledgable and accommodating. We ended up buying an extraordinary amount of tea. I have a friend in Peru that owns a tea house and I am putting her in contact with the... More

This is a great place to buy spices and teas in Delhi. Sure it is a bit expensive but the select on sale is vast. Although the place was packed they always seemed available to help with your selection. Credit card is also welcome.
