The setting of this museum is very beautiful and peaceful. It was amazing to see Gandhi's last walk marked out from the bungalow to the place of his assassination. It was fascinating to see his meagre possessions including his famous glasses and his watch which stopped at the time of his passing

This is a peaceful place. The quotes from Gandhi that are inscribed on plaques alongside a promenade were especially insightful into his teachings.

Excellent staff. We wandered around, intermingling with a party of schoolchildren, who all wanted to shake our hand. After approaching the exit a staff member said we hadn't been there long enough and asked if we had seen this and that so we ventured back in and found hidden sights, pleases we did!

Our kids watched Ghandi Movie on flight over and we ended our week at the museum. They do a nice, kid-friendly presentation of the major themes of his remarkable life.

To stand in the room where Gandhi spent the last days of his life -- where he slept, meditated, wrote in his journals, sat at his spinning wheel -- be prepared for a profound experience. Then, just outside this room are the footsteps that lead to the prayer site where he was assassinated on January 30, 1948. Incredibly moving. Don't... More

As well as the obvious historical aspect of the museum I found the area to be peaceful and tranquil having such a relaxing ambience which surprised me considering all the conflicting history the place holds. Grandi' s sleeping area is on display as well as items he used. There are lots of photos and quotes situated in the house and... More

This visit was suggested by our taxi driver and we are so pleased that we went. Amidst the mayhem of Delhi this museum is peaceful as soon as you walk through the gates, you can stay as long as you like and the staff are happy to talk you through the last days of Gandi's life.
