Finca Los Monos (the Monkey Farm) is situated on Isla Colon, the largest island in the enchanting archipelago of Bocas del Toro, , Panama. The islands enjoy a steady temperature of between 80 and 93 degrees (27 C – 33 C) all year round, with adequate rainfall to keep them lush and humid. Over the years we have created a magnificent garden with large collections of heleconias, gingers, palms, flowering trees, fruit trees, spices and ornamentals. New plants are constantly being added to the property.

I can't say I had planned to visit the Finca Los Monos Botanical Garden on my trip to Bocas town, but i was looking for a place to spend my last day, the people at my local hotel suggested this was a must see! They were not wrong, was a lovely tour of the vision and creation of Lin and... More

Finca los Monos is beautiful! There are two tours per week, on Fridays and Mondays; while I think they're typically not filled, it's a good idea to email ahead for reservations.

At first I thought that spending a couple hours in a garden was going to be too long but I could have spent 4 hours on her tour. It was full of interesting information and we saw so many animals. Caimens, poisonous and not poisonous frogs, bats, toucan type birds, and more. It was a great hike, not too strenuous... More

A nice spot to enjoy a pleasant tour of botanical gardens. A variety of flowers and trees were there. We were given a very informative tour. The cost of the tour was $20 for adults, a bit pricy but all in all not outrageous. Recommended to see.

My husband and I have been living in Bocas del Toro for 5 years now and had never visited the Botanical Gardens - which is in our backyard. We always left that attraction for our company that was interested 'in that kind of stuff'. To our amazement and delight it was a fantastic tour. Not only are the grounds beautifully... More

We had a rainy week in Bocas so we decided to go on the garden tour. It costs $20 for two hours, and was a great deal in my opinion. Taxi drivers know where this place is even though many hostel owners have never heard of it. It's 5 minutes out of town. Linda is quite simply amazing. It was... More

I don't understand why this garden isn't in every guide book. The garden this woman has created is a masterpiece. The flowers, wild life, exotic palms are all magnificent. The owner/creator gives a fascinating and fun tour and her passion for what she has created is palpable. Do not miss!

We had a private tour for a group of 5 that extended way past our time schedule as we were enjoying ourselves so much. It was an absolute pleasure to be shown around by Lin who created this magical place. She is so passionate and very knowledgeable and it shows in every corner of the garden you explore. Amazing exotic... More

Loved our tour and so appreciated Lynn's incredible expertise. She planted every plant herself or vicariously and delights on sharing it with all comers.

We did the bird watching tour. It was a very pleasant walk through a beautiful garden. It made for a very enjoyable couple of hours.
