Finca Los Monos (the Monkey Farm) is situated on Isla Colon, the largest island in the enchanting archipelago of Bocas del Toro, , Panama. The islands enjoy a steady temperature of between 80 and 93 degrees (27 C – 33 C) all year round, with adequate rainfall to keep them lush and humid. Over the years we have created a magnificent garden with large collections of heleconias, gingers, palms, flowering trees, fruit trees, spices and ornamentals. New plants are constantly being added to the property.

We went for the two-hour tour (only happens twice a week) and thoroughly enjoyed the gardens and the story of how the owners transformed 36 acres of dense jungle into this wondrous showplace.

Lin and Dave graciously open their gardens to the public and offer wonderful tours! It was a privilege to learn so much about flowers, animals, history and culture of Bocas from a woman so dedicated to its preservation. One of the highlights of our trip and a "don't miss" while in Bocas!

It's a good tour and a wonderful garden with a lot of flowers. Unfortunately, we didn't have the chance to see a lot of animals but it's a great tour !

we had an amazing morning with Lin showing us the whole garden. It is really something that she and her husband cut it out from a jungle and she planted all these plants and trees. A whole bunch of ornamental bananas, many different palm trees and what I loved most - different flowers from ginger family - something I knew... More

There is not much I can say that hasn't been said previously regarding this attraction, however I can confirm that this was a highlight of our family trip to Bocas del Toro, and while I have been there before, it was equally enjoyable the 2nd or 3rd time for me and my teenage daughters just loved it. Everything positive repeated... More

The garden is gorgeous with so much to see and learn. Lin and Dave are amazing hosts with such a cool life, full of adventure. Lin knows the details of all of her plants and has such interesting information to share. My fiance and I are excited to host our wedding at this beautiful location! This is a must do... More

The gardens are beautiful. Lin shared her labors of love with us, and her expertise helped us all learn new things about the plants and the area. The plants are impressive, particularly the rainbow eucalyptus! Since this area is on a migratory bird route, we also saw many colorful birds. While we did not see any other animals this day,...
