Overview

Finca Los Monos (the Monkey Farm) is situated on Isla Colon, the largest island in the enchanting archipelago of Bocas del Toro, , Panama. The islands enjoy a steady temperature of between 80 and 93 degrees (27 C – 33 C) all year round, with adequate rainfall to keep them lush and humid. Over the years we have created a magnificent garden with large collections of heleconias, gingers, palms, flowering trees, fruit trees, spices and ornamentals. New plants are constantly being added to the property.

Lin was very informative and accommodating during our tour. We saw howler and white faced monkeys, sloths, yellow tails, caiman, poison dart frogs, and turtles along with every type of palm and ginger plant you could imagine. This couple’s story is amazing. Definitely a must-see...More

This was a very interesting tour, well-guided. There are lots of different palms and beautiful tropical flowers. We had hoped to see monkeys (we did see monkey poop!) but the only monkey we saw was a sleeping night monkey.

Yes, it is lucky we have the opportunity to see the Western Night Monkey here in one of it's day camps. As with all the wild life here, they move around so some days there are many animal sightings and some days it's quiet.

A real highlight of our stay. Beautifully created out of dense forest over 18 years by the present owner, this botanical garden is a must for anyone staying in Bocas Town. The garden can be viewed only through a tour led by the owner, Lin,...More

It was a pleasure to make your bouquet for you and thank you for sending me photos afterwards.

I am a 35 year old male with no overall interest in plants & this was definitely a highlight of my trip to Bocas. The owner is a lovely English woman who gives the tours herself. She does a fantistic job during the tour in...More

We went for the two-hour tour (only happens twice a week) and thoroughly enjoyed the gardens and the story of how the owners transformed 36 acres of dense jungle into this wondrous showplace.

Lin and Dave graciously open their gardens to the public and offer wonderful tours! It was a privilege to learn so much about flowers, animals, history and culture of Bocas from a woman so dedicated to its preservation. One of the highlights of our trip...More

It's a good tour and a wonderful garden with a lot of flowers. Unfortunately, we didn't have the chance to see a lot of animals but it's a great tour !

It has a great view from the top. Lost of different thing not only animals and trees/plants. I think it is a bit pricey.
