Our family went there in Sept with some other local families and had a great time. We fished 2 days and caught some nice fish, including some nice little yellowfin tuna. The bed & breakfast place we stayed was owned by the fishing captain's family,...More

It is a beautiful island and one you can circle under an hour. The lodging is limited to boarding houses or Airbnb type of accommodation. Not a whole lot of restaurants around, scooter rental is relatively easy.

It's 18k on the main and almost only sizable road on the island. Some hills but not for long. Once you leave the harbor village there aren't any water fountains or stores to get beverages that we could see besides the human rights museum. It's...More

If you make it to the East coast of Taiwan, definitely make time (one day) to take the ferry over to Green Island. At the ferry pier, you can rent scooters on which to tour the island. There is a moving memorial to the political...More

It's a beautiful island, rent a scooter to take in all the sights, make sure you put on plenty of sun screen. Beaches are rocky. There's a small strip of street with restaurants and shops, but without the usual fist-pumping music and hordes of bars...More

I've read that the schedule might change during rainy season as the waves may be too choppy. If you speak Mandarin, you can call up the service provider. I took the plane and it was an interesting experience. Journey took 15... More
