Taitung is samll city. It is just rail track. However this road lead you to the temple on the Liyushan trail. It is good to walk this road toward the Lyushan trail where you can look around the temple, too.

Taitung Railway Art Village was nothing special, except that you can take nice pictures in front of graffiti walls and the trains. There were also exhibits but I did not manage to have a look at them. It is very near Taitung City/Cinema and Tiehua Music Village.

I went there about 5pm and I was so regret that I forgot to applied mosquito repellent before i leave my hotel. The mosquito there were really "fierce" and I got my uncountable "souvenirs" at there. Remember to apply mosquito repellent if you go there during summer season.

It is interesting to see that the railway has a place for ART to be present. Thou I did not manage to take a photo of the exhibits due to rushing for my next train. It will be nice if you can stop and appreciate the Art displayed. It is a good place for those who associated themselves with ART.

The railway station itself is really nothing noteworthy, but the lanterns and the tiny village in the park are nice to see.

The old train station has been artistically converted into an outdoor gallery. During the day, children play on the grass field where the railway tracks used to be. At night, the platforms and the old train carriages are beautifully lit. Even though the old station is no longer served by trains, there is a bus station right beside the art... More

This is a unique place, if you are a railway lover, come and take a look. However, if you are on a tight schedule, you won't regret not coming. If you pass by, take a quick photo. At night time with all the handmade lantern, it brightens up your photo. It a an old railway station that exhibits the past.... More

I came here back in 2012 and this was great. The old rail station, bikeway and lots of great outdoor art exhibits made this a wonderful place to visit. Now, it is one big construction site. They seem to be rebuilding the old train station and the entire village for that matter. There are a couple of outdoor art pieces,... More
