We spent about half a day walking around this mountain area and love every minute of it. The Budha statue is beautiful and impressive. The view of the city from the mountain is very nice. Also, there are so e local stands that sell goodies. We try the fried tofu and was delicious.

This is a really nice statue surrounded by some really interesting architecture. It's definitely a must see if you're in the area.

You can go inside of the statue and the temple, and both buildings have multiple floors. Great for interesting pictures and there's a nearby view that overlooks the city.

360 views up by the Buddha and let's of other statues around, as well as a koi pond. We even enjoyed a craft project at a local vendor.

Right in the heart of the city is this hilly park, with many paths to follow and lots of interesting things to discover on foot, or you can drive to the parking lot near to the giant buddha, which is the focus of the park. You can go inside the statue and see the temples on the different floors, but... More

30 minute walk from Changhua station through a nice park. The view from the temple is great and climbing inside the big Buddha was fun too

A nice park to visit during the evening, nothing much but just a nice walking spot. Just nice for an evening relaxing walk.

The Taiwanese have a propensity for naming hills as mountains, so if you are worried this might be an arduous trek up a steep peak, you don't have to worry. It's a 15-25 min walk from the train station in Changhua and the paths up to the Buddha at the top meander through a beautiful forested park. There are so... More

Bagua Mountain is within walking distance from Changhua TRA Station. A short hike uphill is required. High on the hill you can see the Buddha and a pair of lion sculpture. Inside the Buddha statue is a shrine of Guanyin and sculpture depictions of Buddha's story. Behind the Buddha's statue is a modern three-storey temple. Each storey is a shrine... More
