Nice evening walk around the lake. Beautiful place within cramped city of Kandy. Day time, lake round is very busy with heavy traffic.

Nice lake. Must visit especially in the evening. The tooth relic temple is situated on one side. The views are awesome and you can spend some quality time with self or family here

This lake is quite big and surrounds a lot of kandy and of course the water is sacred because of being near the Temple of Tooth.

A man made lake I believe created by one of their many rulers. It is very picturesque and gives a nice "cool" feel to a hot City. look for the swarms of fish on the lakeside.

Well, there's not much going on in the lake. There are some nice fish and ducks that can be seen and it makes for some beautiful photographs. Try to find a quite place and escape the business of Kandy!

This is amazing place, The beautiful lake in front of the Temple of the Tooth was formerly a stretch of paddy fields known as Tigolwela. It was converted to a lake by King Sri Wickrama Rajasinha in 1807.
