During you visit to the temples, take a ride or a walk around the island. The boat ride to the island is exciting. Spend some time & explore the island.

Boty the Buddhist & Hindu tempkes well worth a visit. Inside Buddhist temple are lovely wall painting depicting the historical story of this spiritual site. Only Buddhist temple in Jaffna area. We had the overcrowded boat that was a little hairaising but return was comfortable.

We drove as far as we could then crammed on the diesel smelling ferry for a wonderful experience. A Bhuddist temple and a Hindu temple on a remote island within walking distance of each other. Superb.
