It has been cleaned by the army and now the water is much more clear and you can see clearly that it is a precious thing for the people at Jaffna.

The locals were diving into the pool, it looked so unhygienic, cannot be a tourist attraction. One can make an attempt to make it a tourist attraction by putting some initiatives around this place. You are charging an entry ticket and a parking fee for...More

Lots of history behind this place. If you’re not interested in history not a place to visit. Quite a large well.

It's a huge well, while it's called bottomless, there is a board that documents the Navy divers finding objects at the bottom...they say it's sweet water at the top and seawater at the bottom..with underground tunnels possibly connecting t to other water bodies. Interesting

Entrance is free. But if there was a ticket I would never buy it because, personally I think it's a tourist death trap. I wouldn't waste even an hour of my vacation time to checkout this place It's just a well.although they say it's a...More

Don’t waste your time by visiting this place. Actually, there is nothing to see other than dark murky water. This place doesn’t have a car park but they charge a separate fee for parking your car which is unfair. It is not worth visiting this...More

On our way through Jaffna's backyard I asked the driver to head for this well. Well, the word "bottomless" was quite appealing for us. The place is definitely quite nice and most probably it has a bottom or it is connected with some underwater stream....More
