Nice beach with firm sand which is great for walking or running, beach is about 3 km long. The water is rough for swimming and there is a dangerous undertow, we say two groups of people get rescued by the Reef Surf School in two...More

Narigama Beach was about 15 minutes beach walk away from our hotel towards Hikkaduwa. Plenty of beach bars and lunch stops whilst relaxing in the sun. Waves not as fierce as those outside our hotel so the children enjoyed splashing around. Lovely area.

A nice beach located just south of Hikkaduwa city. There is a nice break which makes good conditions for beginners surfing. There are several surfing schools along the beach. We tried the Ocean Brothers surf school, and they were good. You can't really stay in...More

This was another beautiful stretch of long, golden sandy beach offering great views of the ocean and surfing waves.

Narigama Beach is in the outskirt of Hikkaduwa. Nice long beach with several nice hotels and restaurants. Walking distance to center of Hikkaduwa.

Would recommend this. Stunning waves which are good for jumping in, surfing and body boarding. Plenty of restaurants about with “free” sun loungers that you can just pitch up at but they are owned by the restaurants so there is an expectation you’ll buy a...More

Essentially this was our local beach while staying here. We could walk from our villa to the beach in about 15 minutes. It's a long sandy beach but with a fair bit of plastic debris. Very quiet in the off season period when we visited.

This beach is the same with Hikkaduwa Beach: is wide, clean, with orange sand. Is very safe to have a walk in the evening or sunset.

Narigama beach is one of the best beaches I have visited; it is over 2 kms long with a nice surf for surfing and swimming. Numerous shacks and hotels line the beach and authorities must ensure that over crowding is not allowed. It is wonderful...More

Narigama Beach is joined to Hikkaduwa Beach but at the quieter end. If you want a quiet spot to watch the sunset with your significant other, then head away from the loud bars and restaurants to this end.

The best part about this beach is that there are very few people. A few hotels with some sun bathers and that’s about it. It’s a good beach to stay on. I would recommend villa saffron on this beach!!!
