This gorgeous little church on man-made island has views to die for and is just a magical place to be. You can get a boat out here from Perast. The tour is guided and there is a museum attached. Make sure you view the famous embroiderer tapestry. Take time to to walk around it and take in splendid views.

A short boat ride from Perast takes you to an island off the coast for an opportunity to explore this beautiful church. A local tour guide provides a fascinating history of the island, the church and the museum. Very picturesque and well worth a visit.

We proceeded to the town of Perast after our visit to Budva. We took a 10-minute boat ride to the manmade island of Our lady of the Rocks. According to legend, the islet was made over the centuries by local seamen who kept an ancient oath after finding the icon of Madonna and Child on the rock in the sea.... More

Be sure to either know the history of this island and the church or go with a guide who can explain the history of not only the church but also the items found within. It is a "not to miss" site and must be reached by boat.

Quaint and pretty little man-made island just off the coast of Perast. Worth the short boat trip as it's a unique and cool place to visit, surrounded by stunning scenery.

Taking the boat trip from Perast to this little island is well worth it. There is not a lot to see on the tiny island but the views back to Perast are lovely and it is a good short excursion.

We took a tour to Perast from Montenegro to see our Lady of the Rocks. We parked in the bus area and walked through the little town of Perast. It's really a beautiful little town. The tour included the tickets for the trip to the island. We also had a guide once on the island. It was worth having a... More
