Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

If you're interested in the film industry and like to see such studios, this one is really interesting, and huge with a lot of sets to visit. Great movies and shows have been filmed here, like GoT, Gladiator, Black Hawk Down, Asterix et Obelix Mission Cleopâtre... the list is very long. Guided tours with a lot of information and stories.

The studio is amazing. Our guide speaks English very well. Luckily, there were only few people inside so you can manage to take photos. Our guide offered to take photos of you sitting in cleopatra’s chair or video opening the big door of cleopatra’s film set. Entrance fee is cheap. I took a lot of photos as I’m super amazed. I stayed there for 2.5 hours though the tour only runs for 1 hour. Will come back again next time for the Kingdom of Heaven set…

Visited, having spotted it as we drove past, with no particular preconceptions. Thought it would be a short visit, but were surprised when we left that we had spent an enjoyable couple of hours. Fabulous guide, sadly we didn’t catch his name - but very tall, with a quick sense of humour. Our visit was in Arabic and French ( though at the end ended up with a long chat in Spanish… apparently some tours could have also been in English) All visited are guided, and we had to wait for one to start, waiting in the small cinema, which showed clips of films made there. (We could do with watching that cinema presentation again, as it would have more meaning now) The details in some of the sets, particularly the Egyptian ones were very impressive. It ended up being a very interesting visit, going from Egypt, to Greece, to Rome, to Berber/Amazigh village to Israel, and to China within about 200m! Never seen quite so much fibreglass, and polystyrene that just looked so real. Also surprised to learn how one particular set could turn up in so many different movies, with just little tweaking.

Visited as part of a tour group. We were scheduled to see a UNESCO site nearby but after the earthquake it was deemed a risk by our tour company to enter.

Hence our trip to the studios. A few of our group were very disappointed with these alternative arrangements.

Personally my husband & I really enjoyed it . It’s not Universal Studios but the sets were good , our guide Abdul was brilliant, full of interesting information , and an extra on Game of Thrones as a location was filmed here .

We had a fun time and it was something so totally different & unexpected. Quiet a few “ remakes” have been filmed here and several series I’d never heard of . Some good props to see too . A fun trip .

The washrooms were fine too .

Many day drips to the area stop here. Sadly it’s not that interesting and it seems like this is almost a Forsee destination to provide some income from the investment that’s gone into the building of the studio and sets. Please note they don’t take CC for the 80 dirhams ticket - only cash! Not even soap in the toilets for that price.

We really enjoyed our trip here which was hugely because of our guide Karim. If you get to spend the time with him then you’re lucky. Insane knowledge and humour whilst letting you take your time to chill and take photos to. It’s an interesting little place. If you’re in the area or close by… visit!

When you enter there is a tiny theater showing trailers for films they have shot here. The tour the begins outside and travels through several sets. The tour guide speaks several languages. It was a little distracting listening to the same tour guide in 3 different languages. I’m not sure if it’s possible to have 3 different guides given the numbers of tourists and staff at the moment. It would be good to have more information to read or short video clips along the way. The tour was about 30-40 minutes, mostly outdoors.

Nothing special.. It was a place where some movies were being filmed. It was all man made replica of buildings, statues and monuments. Nothing to be missed!
