I'm going to say this is an amazing experience just like the others have said. A must-see if you are in Sandakan. Note that Crystal Quest is the only officially appointed booking agency. When booking with a tour company, they are simply re-selling the tickets. The difference is that the agencies will sell at more than double the price, but... More

My husband and I spent one night on turtle island. We arrived by speed boat early afternoon and had the day at leisure to snorkel, swim and sunbathe. My husband had never snorkelled before and he was amazed at the amount of fish and sea life so close to the shore. It would be perfect for beginners as the water... More

Bumpy ride over, spent morning and afternoon snorkelling which was brilliant, although got very sunburnt! Quite a lot of waiting around for watching the turtles. Was sometimes a little unnerving as children and some tourists in group got very close despite being told not to by guides. Lots of education about the turtles and seeing them lay and releasing the... More

This has to be a highlight of my Malaysian Borneo adventure! The island it's self is paradise! The rooms offer everything you need. A comfy bed air con and an en suite bathroom. The food was good and lots of it! The work that they do on the island is amazing and I'm so great full that I was able... More

Simply an amazing experience to be out on the island while the turtles come ashore to nest. They nest every day of the year so you can go any time. Be prepared for a long night, as the first turtle may not come ashore until the early hours of the morning. We were fortunate in that the first nesting happened... More

Seeing the turtles lay their eggs and then letting the baby turtles go was a once in a life time experience!

We arrived to the island by speed boat. An hour long journey and rather smooth compared to the boat rides I had in Semporna and the Tunku Abdul Rahman Park in KK. Lunch, dinner, and breakfast were pretty good and filling (don't go expecting a 5* restaurant though). Vegetarians are catered for. A small bottle of water is provided at... More

This place is amazing, if you get the chance to go, then go! The accommodation is very basic but clean and the food is very basic. What it lacks in those areas it completely makes up for in location and experience. We were lucky enough to see a wild turtle nest hatch during the day as well as seeing the... More

Great hour long boat trip to island. Went to our room and then lunch and on the beach until later in the afternoon. Not much to do until the Turtles arrive. Need a cafe or something to pass the time during the day. Also, the amount of litter washed up on the beach needs to be cleared. Thought about asking... More

We were on a 3 week self guided tour of Borneo and this was one of places on our list. Getting tickets wasn't easy but we did manage to pre-book online with Sepilok Wildlife Adventure. The pros - seeing Turtles lay eggs, setting baby turtles free into the ocean, big portions of food, the remoteness of the island The negs... More
