With a group of friends we visited Nurit's Gallery which is in her beautiful, private home in Yesod Hamaala. Well worth a visit to view this accomplished, self taught artist's beautiful work. Nurit herself has an interesting life story to tell and is very welcoming, as well as being very accomplished. Her work is beautiful and pieces are priced at different levels to suit everyone's budget. Well worth a visit.…

If you plan on visiting the north of Israel I would recommend visiting Nurit's Gallery. Nurit's paintings are filled with flowers in an array of colors showing the beauty of the upper Galilee where this lovely gallery is located. Besides the art, you will enjoy talking to the gallery owners who are the salt of the earth and the beautiful people of Israel. Definitely worth the visit, enjoy!…

Looking for something out of the ordinary when in the north of Israel? Nurit Gallery is an art gallery that Nurit runs out of her immaculate home. All of her art is floral-themed and influenced by her surroundings. Visiting the gallery and conversing with her and her husband is fascinating- not only if you want to see (or puchase) her art, but also if you want to learn about the history of her village and settlement of the area in the late 19th and early 20th century. Her ancestors came to the area, endured malaria and starvation and harsh conditions and succeeded in making the Hula Valley one of the most beautiful and agriculturally productive regions in the entire country. Well worth the visit. Ideally for those who are interested in art, but also for those who are interested in a a bit of personal history in a place way off the beaten path. If you want to meet the locals, see the way they live, and possible go home with a piece of original art, this is the place. A quick visit, free. Advisable to combine with a visit to the Dubrovin Farm and the Hula Nature Reserve. -Brian…
