We did route 2 and couldn't have been happier. We started at around 10am and there were not many people so it was perfect. The boat took us into caves and through spectacular landscapes, easy to see why this is known as the 'inland Ha...More

A memorable trip with my friends. The scenery is majestic but also very romantic, fresh air. Service is very good. Sitting on a boat and gliding on the clear blue water, watching the scenery, feeling the tranquility of the scenery. Limestone caves are beautiful and...More

Went in a group of friends and had a great laugh. You get two routes to choose from, we would recommend route 2. You get on a rowing boat and a woman takes you around. Great scenery for pictures and videos. Water is lovely and...More

The scenery is impressive but it gets old after 1 hour on a boat under direct sun light. The 3 hours can become an ordeal, and besides some newly built temples and going through some caves on a boat, there is nothing else to see....More

Stuck in a canoe with a family and baby who never stopped yelling at the top of their voices, so zero serenity appreciation. 200000d wasted. Also could do without cheesy fake "wigwam?" village complete with costumed extras wanting tips.

Trang An is a beautiful sightseeing place and is set in small boats. Here I experienced a rowing boat with her boat. She drove her journey through the small cave to the temple. I just had to climb to Temple Tran not too far.

I love the scenery but it is too busy with people. Van Long is a better one as less crowded. The tour from the boat took us to different temples with different views. Tourists were so noisy spoiled the place.

Plenty of positive reviews made me decide to spend one day in Ninh Binh but it is quite disappointing if u have been in Halong Bay before. It has almost the same scenery as Halong in my opinion, except that u can't jump into the...More

We had good fun on this tour. We were a group of four and rowed ourselves along most of the time to the relief of our lady rower as we were four comparatively large Australian/New Zealanders. The scenery was fantastic and worthy of lots of...More

There are a few companies that have English speaking tour guide. You can arrange for a special tour. I think the cost for an English speaking tour guide is $50 USD or less a day in addition to the standard tour fees.
