Visited Similan Islands #8 and #9 as well as Koh Bon during a 3 day / 3 night SCUBA liveaboard trip. Above the water, the Similans are lovely. Sail Rock is extraordinary. But, below -- not so much. Lots of dead coral from bombing I suppose. Very disappointing. Skip the Similans and go to Sipidan. Or Raja Ampat.

I have mixed feelings about this tour. The speedboat to the islands was fast but the boat was very enclosed. Couldn't see anything except out the back. You can't move around the boat while it is moving and the trip takes 1 1/2 hours. First stop the beach and the water were crystal clear but very few fishes. Second stop... More

We went for diving at West of Eden, think it's island 6 or 7. We met dolphins on the way, unfortunately not while diving. Consider the time you spend on a boat, if it is not a speed boat, it can take 6 hours for the round trip. Take earbuds and a light hoodie ;)

Wow wow wow- what a truly exceptional trip. This was a last minute trip that we hadn't planned but based on a recommendation, we went and thank our lucky stars we did. I've never seen such incredible water- it was the colour of a Tiffany box- stunningly turquoise blue. The sand was like flour and the snorkelling was exceptional. We... More

We started our journey from Cape Panwa at 6am and were driven to the port. This company is very organised and professional. Wristbands were provided on arrival and both towels and snorkelling equipment were available to rent for free. There was a breakfast set up when we got there which was welcome after such an early start. We visited four... More

This is certainly worth doing. Visiting Similian Island is beautiful. The water is clear and warm. We had lunch and surprisingly it is nice. The boat trip took an hour and a half. I was not sea sick as it was a clear day so don't panic if you normally get sick. You will be fine. Must do but it's... More
