Lanta Animal Welfare (LAW) is a non-profit organization based on Ko Lanta. LAW's objective is to rehabilitate suffering and sick animals on the island through sterilisation and care.

We are open to visitors everyday from 9am to 5pm and our volunteer staff will happily provide a guided tour of the center every hour, on the hour, between 10am and 4pm. We have lots of friendly dogs who would love a long walk and cats who would like a cuddle! (Please note there is generally no dogwalking between 11-3 as it gets too hot for them!).

The dogs spend their days in grassy outdoor pens, so like everywhere in Thailand, it's best to wear insect/mosquito repellant when visiting.

Our major sponsor is Time For Lime bar, restaurant and cooking school, without their valuable support we would not be here.

Went here for a couple of hours and got a great impression of the wonderful work the volunteers are doing. After a guided tour (approx 20-30 min) through the property, where they introduce all the animals and there stories, the work that has to be done, there is a possibility to walk a dog or cuddle with the cats. So... More

As animal lovers, we had to visit whilst on Lanta. My review won't differ much to the others, but I think it's wonderful that so many volunteers give up their time and this was founded by a foreigner. As a westerner, you just want to help make life easier for the cats and dogs and a donation is the way... More

I was suggested by a friend to visit this shelter as I really love animals, and she was right, it was worth the sweat in that hot hot day. Their job is only based on donations and volunteers, and they not only are busy helping animals but also take their time to do a tour every hour to visitors from... More

We went here to cuddle and give love to some of the animals. They do an amazing job for the island of Ko Lanta but also other places in Thailand. Amazing to see how much love is around here! Definitely a must visit!

Really enjoyed our time here. It is definately worth a visit. The volunteers do such a great job and it is great to see where the donated money goes. There are loads of happy animals just waiting for cuddles, walks or a forever home. I was really impressed with this place. I wish I had longer on the island to... More

If you love animals this place is a must visit. They have done a fantastic job and have made such a difference to not only Ko Lanta but other areas in Thailand too. We managed to take 3 dogs for a walk to the nearby river (arrive before 9:30am or after 3:30pm as they don't allow walks in between due... More

My partner and I, and 2 of our cousins visited Lanta Animal Welfare and it was absolutely amazing! We felt welcomed as soon as we arrived. The volunteers are knowledgeable and so caring!! We had a tour of the facility and then we played with some of the dogs afterwards! The tour guide did an amazing job of explaining what... More

A really wonderful charity who do great things for cats and dogs in the area and surrounding islands! I enjoyed our day so much cuddling kittens, cats and walking the dogs! It's free! And you can make a donation if you choose, can't recommend enough! One of the dogs got tired on the walk and had to be carried...

I didn't know what to expect when I came here but I was absolutely blown away. Myself and my husband had a tour of the place and it's amazing! What the staff do for the animals is incredible, so many sad stories turned around because of all there help. The visit isn't about going and seeing all the cute animals,... More

We came to koh lanta especially to visit this project as it was recommended by several of my friends. The staff are great. They give tours and the cause is amazing. They have better space for the dogs than you'd find back in England and they obviously really care about what they do. They also do mobile clinics visiting neighbouring... More
