Very close to Ooty

The sanctuary is at Masinagudi and shares it boundary with Bandipur. The safari at Bandipur is far better in terms of quality as compared to Masinagudi.

There was no information in the website. Only safari in van was available and u ll get rarely to see animals. Before going kindly... More

I have visited many National park, but this one is a special one. One hardly find any wild animal in the forest. This place has lots of animal. we could see the three group of deers. We could see wild Boar, Bison. We missed elephants narrowly.

Finally we arrived to Mudumalai Tiger Reserved after long journey from Ooty. This reserved forest area only accessible on day light. Yes, Tigers are there but all stayed in core area and it’s not open for public/tourist. Bus safari is available here and you must go for it. If you are visiting on the afternoon, that is the dinner time... More

The safari is just a closed van trip through the forest area, with little chance of spotting any kind of wild life. Probably one have to be very, very lucky to spot any kind of wild animals.

First time in a jungle safari. Wanted to see the wild cat but had to settle for a few peacocks, monkeys, elephants but mostly deers. Came to know from my car driver from Ooty that best time to catch a glimpse of tiger is the first trip (possibly at 6.30 am). Started at 6.00 am from Ooty by car and... More

We took a 3 hours journey from Ooty expecting a Forest Reserve with Elephant Safari. And we ended up riding a bus full of rowdy people, screaming and shouting, so loud, that only deaf and blind animals would ever come close to the bus. The Jeep Safari was not available, the Elephant Safari starts from June and Elephant Camp is... More

I stayed in or next to the park for a few weeks and really loved being there. I didn't actually take a jeep safari, though getting in and out was kind of like that. Saw a lot of deer. No elephants, though, but I think that was because I didn't stay out much at night and that's when they roam... More

We booked through government safari around 6:30 AM and could see lot of wild animals walking near to the road. We did see elephants, Wild Boar, Deers, Bison, Lion tailed macaque, Sambar and lot of peacocks. We couldnt spot any tigers or bears. I hope a evening visit might help find that.

I went to Mudumalai from Mysore-Bandipur side. Firstly I would say that it is always good to have least expectations from any Jungle Safaris as they cannot do justice in just a 45-minute ride. Wild-life sightings are purely dependent on luck as animals are not born to do a fashion parade while we are on a safari. Coming to the... More
