No to the best of my knowledge. When we went by bike they stopped us at the location where you have to take the jeep/buses. FB/ anexpatinindia

When you travel as far as you can, there is a small are with food and crafts, and there you will find offroad buses thta shuttle back and forth to the site for I beleive it was Rs 250.

There are lots of place to visit there. Rameshwaram temple, Dhanuskodi beach, Ex president A P J Abdul Kalams house, Pumban bridge etc. Complete list you can get it in Tripadvisor also.
