Very peaceful and serene environment. The place is around 22kms from Kodaikkanal town and with restricted access by first dept.

This is a Beautiful lake in the middle of the Forest. It is almost 40 km away from town in the forest which requires special permit from the forest department, also other state cars require to pay extra. Only 50-100 cars are allowed per day...More

Reach Kodaikanal forest office by 8 am, they issue permit to visit this lake as it is inside forest. Rs 200/- for car you need to pay. Around 50 vehicles they permit each day. We did not get the permission first day as the it...More

So we reached the gate of this location after which you need forest permission to take your own car ahead which we didn't have. There was a forest tour bus which could take you inside the forest zone. There are 2 types of tour buses...More

Compared to mannavanur there is nothing much to write about berijam. It's a small place which gets crowded soon. But note, the ride to Berijam lake is so beautiful.!! More than end destination. Spotted a bison. What a marvelous sight.

yes... but, parking on the peripheral areas not allowed. drop and on call come to pick up is the system. also changes with season or crowd or exhibition time...
