Deeg Palace is one of the Hidden Gem of Rajasthan located near Bharatpur Town !! This place is the second place in Rajasthan after Jaipur to have THE WATER PALACE !! The Interior, design and architecture is simply outstanding !! The only thing that puts this place down is the Non Maintenance, the ASI department has not even taken any... More

The road has been repaired and it only takes 39-40 minutes from bharatpur. You need 1-2 hours and it is worth paying a little money for a guide/govt employee. Very pretty, interesting history see other reviews. Personally I found it more interesting than Fatiphur, and more to see for half the price and no hassle.

This palace is later than most of the many others in Rajasthan and has a sort of faintly silly charm all of its own. I loved the Persian rugs in the audience hall I suppose it was; the glossily over-wrought furniture made me laugh, especially when so lauded by its costodian. It strikes me that all these palaces, though lovely... More

Great place but not maintain by management, lake was not clean, even tourist was not maintain own responsibility about cleanness. If that palace maintain in good condition with colour fountains. Then maximum tourist divert for that sightseeing after Tajmahal. It's amazing design of fountains & fort . Deeg was the capital of the Jat kings before they shifted to Bharatpur. Badan... More

We visited Deeg palace on our way back from Bharatpur. It is beautiful but badly managed, and in a state of disrepair. Worth a visit if you're in the area, but not perhaps worth travelling a great distance for.

The palace is well built and maintained except for the toilet facility which needs more attention and cleanliness.the tourist mostly travel from Bharatpur which is approx.35 KM from this place and may require this facility. Also if restaurant facility inside the palace could be possible,it would be excellent for relaxation after the visit of this huge palace.

Architecture looks similar to Agra Fort or Fatepur Sikri but on the smaller scale. The people who have seen Agra Fort may not find it grand. We found that cleanliness is not maintain in the palace. This was unexpected as ASI maitained sites are normally well kept and well mainted, There is Deeg Fort nearby to see but as of... More

This is around 35 kms from Bharatpur with not so good roads. The nearby fort is not worth visiting and palace is the only attraction. The water in the ponds near the palace is dirty and stink. Palace compound is large, however the palace itself is not very big but is good architecture. Inside, some paintings, furniture and a big... More

India is so rich in history that it never stops amazing you. Until I planned for Bharatpur I had never heard of Deeg. And as it turned out its a beautiful palace. Not to be confused with nearby Deeg Fort. Its spread over a large area with lakes on two of its sides. Lakes are not that clean but one... More
