This is NOT what I expected from a National Park coming from the US. That said, here's what you need to know. Parking is at the bottom and that's where you buy tickets. Then you wait in a very long line to catch a bus 4 km up the mountain. Then there is a paved road that you walk up... More

Its disappointing after reaching the peak in search of Nilgiri Tahrs. The time we went, we found one near the point where the Safari ends and its sister at the top after some 20 minutes of trek. Its better to spend more time on Mattupetty dam and Top view , as Top view also offers almost the same view.

Our fellow passengers were local 6th grade school children and their teachers and made fun travelling companions, lots of great smiles and questions... More

Eravikulam is on the Udumalpet road and takes about 30 -40 minutes to reach from the Munnar city - center. You can visit, if time permits. It is definetly not a must see. If you plan to visit, suggest to reserve the tickets in advance by online booking so you can avoid standing in queue to buy tickets. We visited on... More
