Eravikulam National Park, located 13kms from Munnar is famous for the endangered Nilgiri Tahr . Anamudi, the highest peak in South India is a major attraction of the place. The slopes of the hills abound in many kinds of rare flora. The weather, mist and the lush green views of the sloping hills helps create an enchanting experience.

Guys this is my genuine suggestion please avoid having this place on your itinerary, its purely waste of time. the only thing enjoyable is the drive by bus on the damn narrow road between the tea estate if you are a nature lover apart from that there is nothing valuable to have a look inside. We had started early to... More

We took great pains to reach there - a taxi ride to the bus station, a bus ride to get to the base and then a long trek. We just managed to get a nice view of the valley. We didn't spot any animals which was a disappointment. I wouldn't recommend it to families with small kids as it is... More

Bus will drop you at a hill from there you can walk. Not a very much attractive location EXCEPT THE NILGIRI. If you want to visit then visit either before 11 am or after 3 pm. Walking is uphills. Beautiful view of tea gardens andf mountains can be viewed.

Very good place for peace lovers. You can spend more times with nature. Very cold atmosphere in December-January.

The scenery is magnificent, but get here at opening time and get the first (obligatory) bus up to the debussing area and start walking uphill quick! That way you can enjoy the scenery before the circus like atmosphere that ensues just a little later in the day and you also do the hard work before it gets too hot. The... More

Bus will drop you at a hill from there you can walk but you will only be able to see wild goat. Not a value place to see.

If you love leisurely walk, taking in grand scenery around you, you can enjoy this place. It's little too hyped, IMO, looking at the mad rush at booking counter. BTW, instead of booking on the spot, boot your tickets from the market one day earlier.

I would rate this as one of the top attractions and must visit place during your trip to Munnar... This park is home to Nilgiri Tahrs, an endangered species seen in Nilgiri Hills and southern parts of Western Ghats in the state of Tamilnadu & Kerala with a higher presence here... Highest peak in Southern India Anamudi (2695m) is situated... More
