Sakkarbaug Zoo is on the outskirts of Junagadh town, covering fairly large area, good collection of fauna, they have a safari bus ride for a fee but this runs only when minimum 20 tourists are available.

We had time to kill so went and spent 2-3 hours here. Most of the animals seemed clean and well-treated. Good bird collection.

We had a late night bus to catch & wanted to spend time somewhere cool, quiet & shady. This place was pleasant (we visited on a weekday - it may be noisier at weekends) & the exhibits were interesting. Admission fee was good value.
