A Kutchi cultural center, located further south along College Road (which leads away from the lake past Alfred High School, the Ramkund stepwell and the Swaminarayan temple), the B.S.D. contains an excellent collection of Kutchi folk art and crafts, especially from the more remote regions of the district, collected by a forest service official as he traveled around doing government... Bhajodi: this was in our itinerary and we landed early at 10ish. The shops were displaying their stuff. It was very interesting and we shopped a lot of things like bedcover, bedsheet, suits etc.. Price is reasonable and craftsmen are doing great work.. Place is like Delhi haat.. But must visist when in bhuj

This Museum in bhuj has the finest collection of embroideries from various communities and areas of Kutch. This Museum is quite unknown in bhuj so far but i would highly recommend to those who are interested textiles do visit this. This Museum is small in size but quite rich in collections. The display needs some suggestions once you visit it.

The culture of India and the handicrafts on show. A very interesting place to visit for those interested in how this country comes up with a wide array of artefacts and treasures.

I happened to visit Bhuj in last week of Dec 2014 and my bad luck was that it is closed on Sunday , it was sunday when we had been there. We tried to sneak into the different rooms/artifacts from outside but lack of proper maintenance and resources to safe guard the culture/artifacts was very much evident.

A Kutchi cultural center, an excellent collection of Kutchi folk art and crafts, especially from the remote regions of the district, collected by a forest service official as he traveled around doing government work. There are also exhibits of rural architecture, paintings, textile arts and archaeological specimens.
