Such a lovely temple! Great photo op! Loved watching the ladies make flowered offerings to be brought in or purchased as offerings. It is well kept. Visiting this temple, one can observe a lot of culture of this area. There are shops along the way to the temple with good handicrafts and fruit.

The location of this mandhir is beautiful. It's clean and you can purchase some goods for prayers just outside the entrance. Don't expect to participate in a prayer - the goods you purchase at the front are taken and stored along with everyone else's. Beautiful building and it wasn't busy. We got there before lunch time.

Temple of the Goddess Shantadurga is a well maintained temple in Kavalem village in Ponda Taluka. There is not a huge crowd and you don't have to line up to take the Godess' blessings.

Make sure you keep this ancient temple on your itinerary when visiting Goa. Its one of the best spots to observe the ancient Hindu Saraswat traditions come alive during the Jatra that happens somewhere in the months of Jan-Feb.

It's a very nice temple in Ponda. As the name suggest, it is devoted to goddess Durga. It's a well maintained temple. Nice architecture. It is very clean. A typical Goan temple structure. They have provision for stay as well in the Bhakt-Nivas. There is a small canteen which provides lunch..
