We came to West End to do some shopping and relax one afternoon after diving. We got local ice cream, some souvenirs, and a great day to sit on the beach that was very busy. There are some cool businesses to visit as well.

The view is awesome, the sand, the corals at swimming distance. You must take or rent in the place the snorkeling gear to see - with caution - the coral area.

Was here when we had a bad rainy day so I really missed the beauty of this beach-- Not a heavy used beach which I liked so you could actually relax on the beach if it wasn't raining.

I contacted Jensen and he was willing to drive us to Carambola Gardens and Sandy Bay for a snorkeling afternoon. You can swim out from the beach, about 100 yards or so, then snorkel along the reef and wind up down the beach several hundred yards later. It's a pretty long snorkel and one needs to be a good swimmer. There is lots of healthy coral and lots of fish. As you swim out, the coral gets very close to the surface so be careful. Jensen is a great guy and can drive you anywhere on Roatan. I would use him again anytime.…
