The site around Plashnik is a complete mess as several large apartment complexes are being built (very sad they are so close to the church) but don't let this dissuade you from visiting. The church (100 dinar admission) has some spectacular remnants of old frescoes...More

The Sveti Kliment church is newly built and only 15 years old, not much to see from the inside. Archeologists are working on site. New buildings for the University of Ohrid, the oldest in Europe, are constructed at the same time. A guide on site...More

As with most in Ohrid, Plaoshnik is a must see church! Set on the water with amazing history, mosaics etc. You can travel from one church to another, and up to Samoilova Tvrdina, Samuels Fortress. Highly recommend!

The Saint Clement church is beautiful along with the archaeological findings around it, but there is construction process going on so you still can not get the whole experience of this place.

The place itself might have history, but the buildings, of which the church, are newly built. That does not do anything for me. The walk there is nice though and takes you through the old town of Ohrid

The site includes (1) the new-old church of Sv Kliment, (2) in front of it the foundations of an old church with some antique columns still standing , (3) the paleochristian basilica floors and foundations, (4) an ottoman "turbe" , (5) a new monastery and...More

Lots of history in one place for a small entrance free. It has some really nice views to the Kaneo church too. On site there is also a cafe where you can buy refreshments for the steep hike up to the fortress.

We were disappointed that these ruins were secondary to the rebuilt Church on the site. The monolithic under construction new St Clements University buildings completely overshadowed this important historic site. For some reason signage had not been thought of by the powers that be

This place has an interesting history. But if you are not into it, you should visit Plaoshnik anyway, because you will feel the energy of it there. I've been there in the late evening, when sun almost was under the horizon, and this place turned...More

It's a holy and archaeological place, a must see in Ohrid. The church was built in the 9th century on the foundation of an early Christian basilica. St. Clement was buried in this monastery, in the tomb which was built by his own hands. You...More
