We were actually referred to Hereiti by another vendor who was going to be on Holiday while we were in Moorea. We know the island pretty well, and had a good idea what we wanted to do and where we wanted to go. Hereiti is a delight, sweet, intelligent, highly skilled and a pleasure to spend time with. When we got to one location, there were numerous other vendors there, so we just left and went to another where we were alone. We returned later to the first location when it was no longer crowded. Hereiti shared personal stories, and made us feel like family. We highly recommend her services.

Very impressed with the owners of this company. When weather turned questionable, they were more than happy to work with us. They took us to beautiful spots, really knew the history of the island and were such a pleasure to spend the morning with. I loved their integrity, picking up any trash they found floating in their beautiful ocean and leaving it better for the next. Highly recommend when visiting Moorea.

While searching for things to fill in our week on the island I stumbled upon Manahere Adventures, and very happy I did. While in Australia I easily arranged a private tour with for my wife and I via facebook messenger. Our guide and boat owner Hereiti, is a proud local lady who has strong family ties to the island. The guided tour included a history lesson which was a bonus for us. We were greeted on time at the arranged pickup point with a huge smile. Off we sailed to discover by boat what the reef on the north side of the island had to offer. Our half day trip started at 1.30pm for 4 hours, conditions were rainy and overcast but this didn’t damper Hereiti’s spirit. The boat included a cover and were supplied with a waterproof rain jacket to make the trip comfortable. Soon we were snorkeling in the most amazing crystal clear water with colourful fish, coral, reef sharks and Sting Rays. It was amazing. On the boat were supplied refreshments, the fruit cocktail was perfect for the occasion. We sailed home as the sun was setting to complete a magical afternoon. I encourage you to book this trip in advance before you arrive to ensure you will get in, Hereiti is in demand. We can not wait to return to Moorea to do this tour again.

Let me start by saying we are not the easiest people to please or impress. We have traveled to many places and have seen many beautiful beaches and waters. We have met some amazing people and made some friends along the way. I booked a tour with Manahere Adventure with some scepticism, the reviews are amazing and she had a 5 star rating; however I have learned that you can’t always go with other people’s experience and reviews ( some tend to have lower standards are impressed so easily). I emailed Hereiti before we left home and arranged for a tour with her. She was prompt and friendly, very efficient in every way. I asked her if she knew of a good fishing charter to take us fishing and she set us up with her stepdad ( all via email, while we were still in Canada). We met Stephane ( the stepdad) on our second day and had a wonderful day with him ( also writing a review for Seafari Cruises). The following day we met the beautiful Hereiti as she picked us up on the dock and took us around the island exploring and explaining to us the history and the culture. You can hear the passion she has for her island in her voice and you can see it in her eyes and her big smile as she explains the way of life now and then. We talked about family, travel, life in general while enjoying her fresh home made punch and fresh fruit. She would dive and bring a conch up to the boat and explain why it is special. She took us to see the sharks and stingrays but did not feed them because she respects the wild and doesn’t want to humanize them ( which I greatly appreciated). Most people feed them to get them close to the boat and the tourists but I personally don’t see the point. They came to us anyways and we got to experience it without having to over feed them. She took us to a beautiful spot for snorkelling and had timed it perfectly so the bigger charters were gone and we didn’t have to get stuck with twenty others snorkelling the same spot. At the end of the tour we hugged and said our goodbyes. We walked away with big smiles on our faces feeling completely in awe by this beautiful, interesting, intelligent young woman who is running her own business and making a difference in the world. Hereiti I am forever grateful for sharing your time with us.

By far the best tour we have ever taken anywhere!! Hereiti was fantastic and extremely helpful. She did a custom tour for us which had us entertained with the splendours of what Moorea sea life has to offer, for the best part of the day, which was beyond our expectations. Swimming with the Stingrays and getting to play with them was absolutely the highlight and a must do. Thank you Hereiti and we will be back sometime. Valerie and Meredith
