Currently led by a French scientist, this is a remote but wonderful experience. While we were there, three wild condors flew in and landed close to us ( within 30'). It was thrilling to see them preen and bicker, as well as fly.

I would not go out of my way to come here but if you are in Otavalo and you want a close up look a birds of prey, this is a great place. Its not a zoo. Many of the birds are rescued, rehabilitated and released back into the wild if possible. After viewing the birds in their cages, there... More

We had some free time before we checked into our hotel, so we had our cab drive us from Otavalo to the Condor Park, located on a ridge overlooking the city. The park is quite spacious and well maintained. We were able to see dozens of different birds including owls, hawks, eagles, and the amazingly huge Andean condor. The trip... More

The park is set up high with a fabulous view overlooking the valley and the mountains in the distance--it's worth the visit just to see the view! The display areas are large enclosures, with a huge variety of raptors and owls. It was fabulous to see these birds, compare them, and learn more about them. Each display had a nice... More

Really enjoyed this. Walked here from town, was a nice, relatively easy walk, stunning views. There are some gorgeous birds here and they appeared well taken care of. Obviously it would be better to see them free and in the wild, but as this is a rescue and care park, I assume theres a good reason they are here. The... More

Go go go. It is inexpensive and well done. The views alone are worth the small price of admission. The birds are majestic and actually free fly for a long while. The parque has numerous species and a majestic condor. The USA individuals will be so proud of the bald eagle free flying.

Great place to see a wide variety of birds of prey from South America. Bird demonstration was very cool but only in Spanish. Cost was $4.75 per person and Taxi was $4.00 each way.

We took a taxi up, up the "hill" from Otavalo. This is a wonderful park all about birds of prey. They have many, many birds, including a pair of condors. Extremely clean and well kept. $4.75 for entrance. The interpretive center was very nice. Many owls. Even a couple American eagles. They have shows at 11:30am and 3:30pm. Don't miss... More

We enjoyed our stop at Condor Park because we love birds and we wanted to see the condors up close and personal; we had seen them flying in Peru while at Colcha Canyon ,but this was a different experience altogether. We were fortunate to have an English speaking guide with us, and if you don't speak Spanish, I think it... More
