The bird show was great and the view was unbelievable. I think my favorite part was the bald eagle part of the show.

I loved seeing the birds fly... but seeing the birds chained to the ground was a heart-breaker. Birds need room to move around, not to be chained up.

It's worth taking a taxi up the hill to this bird park. Under the shadow the Imbabura Volcano, you can see condors, eagles, hawks and other avian predators. The show, although in Spanish, is excellent.
This environmental education center does amazing work and offers stunning views and impressive gardens as well as close up views of birds of prey. There is something for everyone and the flight demonstrations are educational as well as exciting.

The exhibits were very interesting, but watching the free fly of some of the birds was amazing. See a bald eagle soar between the valley and the mountains was exhilarating.
