This park was full of animals, kind of like a zoo, but the animals are im better enclosures or no enclosures at all. The mangroves are very cool and the atmosphere is very relaxed.

This is a beautiful park with playgrounds for kids, restaurants, and beautiful architecture. We went with a ship's tour and the stroll was very pleasant. If you have time, this is a wonderful place to just wander, observe and enjoy the surroundings.

Are the animals in cages like in a zoo in the Parque Historico Guayaquil. I'd love to see birds and animals but not in depressing cages. Thanks.

We'll flying into Guayaquil from Lima, and will have only half a day and the evening before our flight to Galapagos next morning. What is the most efficient way for us to visit the town? Can we combine a visit of Parque Historico with Las Penas? I was thinking maybe we should spend a few hours at the Parque and take the evening meal in Las Penas. Does that work? And should we then stay at the hotels near the airport and commute to town? Thank you.
