I like history and I like museums so I guess it is not so easy to surprise me. But, what I saw there is really outstanding. The building (nicely incorporated in the landscape) is built just under the location where the ancient settlement was. Starting...More

Doesn't worth your time. There isn't much to see there. They have more LCD displays with bunch of info than actual artifacts. So, my advice is to save your time and if you are interested in Vucedol culture, find the info on the internet. Another...More

We had a tour with a guide, and I would recommend that option every time if it is possible. Museum is modern, with lots of animation, pictures, real artifacts and you should definitely visit when you are around this part of Croatia.

Vučedol Culture - I don’t know where to start! It’s impressive what people at that time knew about the stars in the sky, they even had the first calendar that existed in Europe. The museum was opened in 2015 and the architect got an architectural...More

I’d previously never heard of the region’s first known settlers, so I was completely fascinated over the space of a couple of hours while wandering through Vučedol Culture Museum. Archeologists have done a magnificent job in restoring visuals of what life looked like in those...More

Rather new museum on an ancient historic location. We didn't use a guided tour so the all in all experience was not what we expected. Museum has a lot of space and rather small amount of exhibits of the ancient time, there is a lot...More

This award winning museum opened in 2015 offers an insight in the Vucedol culture (3000 years B.C.). They invented first calendar in the world. We had a guided tour (60 minutes) by a guide called Sinisa. Excellent guide who introduced us with this culture older...More

I was amazed by the design of the museum, multimedia is very modern and informative. There are many items to see. Entrance fee is around 30 kn which is reasonable price comparing to other museums.

If you're in Vukovar, and you're looking for places to visit and see, this museum is top notch. The culture displayed here as well as the technology used to showcase some of the artifacts and history is simply excellent.
