It was 25 Hun (about £3) to get in and the smallest note I had was 50 but they didn't have enough change and wouldn't let me buy a ticket. They were rather unfriendly. The central courtyard looked empty from the gate but the views...More

You can appreciate this fortress from the outside by taking a walk around it. We didn't think it was worth paying to enter the bare courtyard and climb up the wall. It was a hot day when we visited, so that affected our desire.

If you are in Trogir visit this fortress. The entrance is 25 kn. Actually - the best thing about it is the view - view over the city of Trogir which city center Unesco heritage site and view over island of Chiovo. There is around...More

Really old and sturdy fortress, but one has to walk up many stairs before coming to the top! But it is not very big. There is an entrance fee.

Sturdy and thick-walled this fortress brings to mind the times of damsels and knights, sieges and defence with tiny windows from which to shoot arrows and look out for enemy ships. Part of Castle lies stranded I another area while children play football on the...More

Beside serving as a historic site, Kamerlengo Fortress offers visitors only a panoramic view over Trogir and surrounding areas. Although the entrance fee does not cost much, I think the Fortress should offer something more rather than leave it sitting empty.

interesting history and great view of the area from the fortress rampart...from there you can stand and admire the scenic beauty of Trogir and the surrounding area.

Thanks, pondga. I did manage to visit and loved both it and the town! I think my next trip to Croatia will be based in Trogir. Hope you enjoyed it, too!
